[My Review]
Tell Me a Secret is a fun, entertaining read with some great characters. It revolves around an always-interesting theme: revenge!
I haven’t read any books by Jane Fallon before but I can see why she’s so popular – the novel is well-written but easy to read, and it’s a page turner without relying too much on twists or turns. There are some surprises within its pages mixed with the odd occurrence that I guessed might happen, but it remained completely entertaining and enjoyable to read.
The idea of workplace bitchiness is no doubt familiar to many people who have worked in a similar work environment, and this makes the story more relatable, even though what occurs there is (hopefully! not normal!
I liked the different dynamics between characters and the honest way it portrays different types of female friendships, from Roz and her way of putting other people down to Dee’s eagerness to help. It kept me guessing by making me think that each character in Molly’s life must in some way be involved, as there are less-than-lovely characters mixed in with the nicer people to mix things up and give the reader someone to hate… which let’s face it, is always fun. It’s all about friendship, there’s barely anything really about romance in here, which I really enjoyed!
I really enjoyed Tell Me a Secret and will definitely be reading more by Jane Fallon in the future. It’s a perfectly fun page-turner.
